29" (74 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique romper suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L 1/2 made in Germany 15 1/2 JDK 241 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1915. Value Points: exceptionally fine preservation of the hard-to-find model, with flawless bisque enhancing the intelligent older-child expression, near mint original body finish.
