Description
16" (41 cm.) Latex composition socket head, highly-expressive features with smiling expression on closed mouth, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, brunette side-parted human hair, slender torso and limbs with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, original finish, light scuffing on torso. Comments: Dewees Cochran, from her portrait series, the doll was presented in her brochure as "Cookie", circa 1940s. Value Points: very rare to find model from the celebrated American doll artist, with early Cochran box, and with original brochure describing this costume as velvet flannel apple green day dress; additional original costume described by her as "flowered pink and white Bates fabric with wide Bertha collar" also included.
