32" (80 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, brunette mohair wig in long ringlet curls, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 117 80. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, the doll was introduced that year to offer customers a doll which combined the expressiveness of the art character dolls of 1910 with the sweetness of the classic dolly model. Naming the doll "Mein Liebling" (my sweetheart) the doll moved to be an instant success and was offered in the company line for more than a decade as a signature doll. Value Points: superb bisque and painting, wonderful extended-length original wig, original body and body painting and fine antique linen dress, bonnet, undergarments, leather ankle boots.
