10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with flat-cut derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield on head and derriere) 4 (head). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: very rare tiny size Schmitt bebe is complemented by original body and body finish, beautiful gentle expression, fine bisque and painting, lovely antique costume.
