Description
16" (41 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with brown sculpted hair waved from her face into short rolled curls at the back, and with sculpted hair band, brown glass eyes, sculpted ears, closed mouth with piquant smile, muslin body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted orange ankle boots. Condition: very good, original finish, one seam split at side of head and small repair at right shoulder. Comments: Germany, circa 1865. Value Points: charming early glass-eyed child with original body and wearing original costume in the Alice in Wonderland style.
