18" (46 cm.) Gofun-finished complexion, enamel inset eyes, shaded brushstroked brows, closed mouth, elaborate coiffure with wide wings and butterfly-shaped rolls at back of head that are decorated with a variety of hair ornaments, painted feathering of hair around the forehead edges, armature body, sculpted hands, wearing fine crepe silk robe in vibrant purple with hand-painted cherry blossoms, silk crepe obi, red gown with purple edging, slippers, on original stand with original box. Excellent condition. Japanese, Showa era.
