10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full outlined lips, brunette mohair wig with waist-length braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique school dress, undergarments, woven bonnet, stockings, and original black leather shoes, along with a little paper mache fleecy lamb. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2033 BSW (in heart) 537 2/0. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912, the model is known by collectors as "Wendy". Value Points: especially fine example of the desirable wistful-faced girl, in appealing rare size, with finest bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
