Description
12" (30 cm.) Latex composition with socket head, painted facial features, small hazel eyes with fringed upper lashes, closed mouth with shy smile, light brown mohair wig, five-piece body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D.C. PP ‘54 #29. Comments: by the American studio artist Dewees Cochran, the boy is a "Grow-Up" portrait of Peter Ponsett at age 5, 1954. Value Points: rare and well-preserved American art doll by the illustrious artist, in original artist-made costume; with original artist price tag featuring her signature, description of the doll and price ($21.50 dressed, $16.50 not dressed).
