12" (30 cm.) All-latex composition doll depicting a young girl with smiling expression, socket head, painted facial features, brown eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with beaming smile, impressed cheek laughter crinkles, two rows of painted teeth, waist-length brunette human hair, five-piece body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: DC AA 52 #17 (head). Comments: portrait model of Angela Appleseed by Dewees Cochran, 1952, depicting the child at age 5. Value Points: very fine sculpting with artfully-painted features that are perfectly preserved, wearing original artist made dress.
