22" (56 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with oval face and slender elongated throat, black sculpted hair waved from face with feathering detail around the forehead and "widow's peak" at center crown, ringlet curls onto front shoulders, and tasseled-edge snood at the back of head with centering bow at the crown, defined eye sockets, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accents at nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, antique day dress. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: the regal dignity of the slender lady is softened by her coiffure and shy expression, a rare model.
