16" (41 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, dark painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with wide beaming smile, shaded lips, two beaded lower teeth, impressed dimples and laughter lines, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique dress and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5636 Heubach (sunburst) 47 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: superb sculpting of character features and deeply-impressed cheek dimples on the wide-eyed laughing child are enhanced by very fine bisque and painting.
