Description
30" (76 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with richly shaded lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, body original albeit repainted. Marks: Depose E 13 J (and artist checkmarks) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884. Value Points: lovely bisque enhances the very beautiful eyes on the large bebe.
