10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of lady with slightly-turned head on strong throat, brown sculpted hair with short curls framing her face and a coiled chignon held by red hair bow at her crown, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black flat open-back clogs, wearing original costume comprising yellow silk tapestry woven skirt, embroidered silk apron, green velvet laced vest, velvet sleeves, beaded necklace. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
