20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with slender angular face in haughty uptilted pose, elongated throat, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, single-stroke brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, original blonde upswept mohair wig over plaster pate, kid body with dart shaping, pin-jointing at shoulders, hips and knees, bisque forearms, Edwardian fashion costume. Condition: generally excellent. Chips on three finger tips. Comments: Kestner, their fashion doll, "Gibson Girl" from the original society illustrations by American artist, Charles Dana Gibson, circa 1910. Value Points: fine quality of bisque and painting on the portrait doll, with original body and wig.
