Swiss Wooden Doll by Huggler with Rare Body and Original Costume

16" (41 cm.) Carved wooden shoulder head with deeply carved hair drawn into a tightly-coiled chignon at the back of head, sculpted ears, painted blue upper glancing eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, kidoline body with pin jointing at hips and knees, composition and wooden arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Huggler of Switzerland, circa 1930s. Value Points: rare body variation of the Huggler wooden doll with excellent detail of hair sculpting and wearing original Swiss costume of Berne. Also included are two additional Huggler wooden dolls comprising a 10" brown-eyed girl with fully-jointed body, carved chignon, and original costume, and an 8" brown eyed girl with fully-jointed body, unclothed, and with carved coiled side braids.
