Description
5" (13 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged slender bisque torso, brown glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pert expression, blonde mohair wig in upswept style, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white stockings, brown two-strap heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: the petite French all-bisque mignonette was known as "poupee de poche" (pocket doll) in reference to its tiny size, circa 1880. Value Points: especially dear facial expression enhanced by finest bisque and painting.
