Description
8" (20 cm.) All-bisque baby with one-piece bisque head and torso, sculpted dome with brushstroked hair, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, closed mouth with shaded lips, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs in bent baby pose. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1910. Value Points: the baby is presented in woven hinged lid with lace-trimmed lining upon which are arranged a selection of knit costumes, booties, and baby accessories such as rattle bell and bottle, and with a card from the Paris toy shop of Au Nain Bleu.
