Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque head with flanged neck, sculpted brown hair with forelock curls, plump cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, tinted brows, accented nostrils of tiny nose, closed mouth with downcast pouting lips, muslin torso with composition lower legs and arms. Condition: generally excellent, retouch to composition limbs. Marks: copr. by J.L.Kallus 1394 34 Germany. Comments: Germany, circa 1927, designed by the American artist Joseph Kallus, trademarked as "Baby Bo-Kaye" and commissioned by George Borgfeldt. Value Points: rare doll with very fine quality of bisque and sculpting.
