14" (36 cm.) Of beautifully burled walnut the secretary desk features drop-front panel with constructed niches at the interior, secret drawer appearing as a marquetry design, hinged double doors below, and ornamental ebony columns at the sides forming into little ball feet, with lock and key. Excellent condition. French, circa 1825, the quality of construction and wooden indicates its original creation as a maitrise model.
