12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of serious-faced gentleman with bald pate, enamel eyes, well-defined cheek and jaw bones, strong nose, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and tan shoes with red buckles, wearing bronze-green silk breeches, golden silk vest with self-covered buttons, scarf, lined great coat with faux-patch pockets and flat-hat with woven brim. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, very handsome gentleman with wonderful costume.
