26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, slightly-modeled brushstroked brows with feathered highlights, rose-blushed eyeshadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette human hair hand-tied wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume and leather shoes impressed with full figure of doll and "12". Condition: bisque is excellent with one tiny forehead paint skip, French body of the same era is not original but is appropriately sized. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1885. Value Points: desirable early face with wonderfully-defined features and pleasing blush on eyelids, chin and cheeks.
