15" (38 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket head with sculpted light brown hair having hand-pressed details of curls and comb-marks, intaglio dark blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, white eyedots, closed mouth with hint of smile, two beaded teeth, impressed dimple in cheeks and chin, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 78[??] Heubach (in square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: rare early hand-pressed character with outstanding detail of sculpting of hair, around the eyes, mouth and cheeks, original body and body finish, original folklore costume.
