Pair, German Porcelain Dolls as Twins on Antique Wooden Bench

15" (38 cm.) A matched pair of dolls, each with porcelain shoulderhead and short black sculpted hair in scalloped curls encircling the face, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accent dots at nostrils, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body with kid arms and stitched-on leather boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: wonderful sister dolls, so rarely found, have their original matching gowns and undergarments.
