9" (23 cm.) doll. 16" x 10" case. Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F.G. (scroll) 2/0. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1885. Value Points: the rare petite bebe rests in beautiful presentation case with delicate engraving on the cover, wearing antique cotton dress, undergarments, leather shoes, along with her extensive trousseau including three additional dresses, various undergarments, coat, fur muff, socks, bonnets, hair brush, comb and more, all still tied with rose silk ribbons to the lace-edged case interior.
