22" (56 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils of upturned nose, closed mouth with tiny tongue tip, outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid over wooden upper arms, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent, professional restoration to three fingers of right hand. Marks: Bru Jne 8 (head) Bru Jne No 8 (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1882. Value Points: outstanding facial modeling especially of nose, mouth and indentations around eye sockets enhanced by choicest bisque and painting.
