16" (41 cm.) Polychromed earthenware figure of gentleman with bald pate and sculpted short curls above the ears, enamel eyes, painted darkened complexion with cheek color, closed mouth with row of teeth, tow-wrapped armature body with sculpted hand having fingers expressively posed, sculpted well-detailed boots. Condition: generally excellent, one finger tip missing. Comments: Neapolitan, late 1700s. Value Points: fine all-original condition with expressive features, linen costume with linen laced vest have buckled vest.
