19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brilliant blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 8 (head, with artist checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1886. Value Points: an especially beautiful example of the tete model is enhanced by brilliant blue eyes, wearing couturier Jumeau costume of ivory silk faille with embroidered lace overlay.
