14" (36 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, sculpted brown hair waved from face into flowing curls at the back of head, sculpted brown goatee, enamel eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted brown stockings, brown ankle boots, wearing original silk robes, comprising striped breeches, gilt thread embroidered vest, red silk jacket, and long striped silk robe with rich metallic thread edging, padded turban with crown tip and pearl beading. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
