Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1079 Germany Halbig S&H 2 1/2 (doll) Au Nain Bleu Paris (paper label on body, hat, and dress). Comments: Simon and Halbig for the French market, circa 1900, the doll was especially commissioned for the prestige Parisian toy store of Au Nain Bleu. Value Points: all original doll has Au Nain Bleu labeled dress and bonnet, undergarments, white kidskin shoes marked L.E. and Au Nain Bleu labeled body.
