Description
19" (48 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead with rose complexion, plump cheeks, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, incised detail around the eyes, tinted brows, closed mouth with downcast lips, blonde hair separately inserted in scalp, softly-stuffed muslin body with stitch-jointing, poured wax rose-tinted arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, attributed to Pierotti, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful complexion and eyes, original body, wearing very elaborate multi-layered baby costume including bonnet and lace-edged cape.
