Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead depicting a young man with sculpted short brown hair with topknot detail, closely-cropped brown beard, brown enamel eyes, mouth modeled open depicting teeth and tongue tip, tow-wrapped posable armature body with carved wooden arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes with red buckles, wearing original homespun costume comprising lined brown jacket, natural weave vest, moss-green short breeches, woven hat. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
