24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, row of tiny porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition jointed body with keywind walking mechanism. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A-15 Paris (head) Bebe "Le Parisien" Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Au Nain Bleu E. Chauviere Boulv des Capucines Paris (body label). Comments: Jules Steiner for Au Nain Bleu, circa 1890. Value Points: the bebe is all original and in fine unplayed with condition, with luxury costume, the bonnet with original dressmaker label "Mlle Adele Fagete Modes Toulouse" in gilt lettering.
