Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) and 6"l. The long-bodied carved wooden dogs in highly-stylized pose have original painted cream finish with brown spots, green sculpted gilt-edged collar, painted eyes, curled tail, defined rib cage, carved open mouth with gnawing teeth, on original wooden base to simulate ground cover. Excellent condition. Neapolitan/Genovese, mid-1700s, notable stylized carving.
