18" (46 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead with realistically-modeled features, blue glass enamel inset eyes in half-moon shape, strong nose, closed mouth with downcast lips, inserted brows and white mohair wig, softly-stuffed original muslin body, poured wax lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: portrait doll of Queen Victoria in the 1885 era, probably Montanari. Value Points: rare and superbly modeled portrait doll wearing original black silk satin gown, lace cap, original undergarments, stockings, shoes, with ormolu brooch and a pin depicting the Queen.
