20" (38 cm.) Thick hand-pressed porcelain shoulderhead with slightly inclined face, tan flesh-tinted complexion, dome with four sew holes for wig attachment, plump modeling of well-defined sloped shoulders, six sew holes at rim of shoulderplate for body attachment, painted brown eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, brown single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with dimpled smiling expression, blushed cheeks, auburn mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms to above the elbows. Condition: fine professional invisible restoration to shoulderplate, arms not original. Comments: Circa 1860, attributed to Lippert and Haas of Schlaggenwald. Value Points: very rare highly-characterized doll with wonderful expression, fine antique gown and undergarments, leather slippers.
