Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, blue-green paperweight glass inset eyes with darker pupil rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Bourgoin Ste, C 8. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: very fine bisque, complexion, eyes, and original body and body finish, exceptional antique velvet and silk young Duke costume with lace detailing.
