Carved wooden dog in alert standing pose, tail uplifted, painted shaded brown/black coat, painted eyes, carved open mouth with well-defined teeth and tongue, carved thick black collar with painted gilt edging, on original wooden base with ground cover. Excellent condition. Neapolitan/Genovese, mid-1700s.
