21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, very plump cheeks and chin, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, suggestion of painted teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, plump kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, bisque arms to above the elbows, separately-sculpted fingers with outlined nails, antique dress, undergarments, soft kid rose slippers, bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (circle dot symbol on head) No. 7 Bru (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1882, the model known as "circle dot" (in reference to impressed symbol at back of head). Value Points: exceptionally beautiful bebe with subtle rose blushing of cheeks, chin and ears, finest bisque and painting, very sturdy original body with superb sculpting of hands.
