16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral-threaded inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with square cut collarette and gusset jointing, bisque lower arms and hands, beautiful ivory silk costume with metallic embroidery and lace, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, restoration on fingers, one finger missing. Marks: E. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, from his depose of 1872. Value Points: beautiful poupee with regal bearing enhanced by lovely costume, original rare body style.
