Description
17" (43 cm.) Hard pressed cloth head stitched to firmly-stuffed muslin torso, painted hair, complexion and facial features, brown curly boyish hair, shaded blue eyes, brown upper eyeshadow, tinted brows, blushed cheeks and shaped ears, stitch-jointed shoulders, side-hip disc-jointed legs, nicely costumed. Condition: very good, original finish, rub on nose. Comments: Germany, maker uncertain (see photo of foot mark), circa 1915, in the Kathe Kruse genre. Value Points: rare doll with well-executed artistic painting.
