Description
20" (51 cm.) Auburn hair with curly bangs and shoulder-curls. Wearing sheer white organdy full-length gown with ruffles at neckline and skirt, red silk sash with velvet ribbons, taffeta hooped petticoat, pantalets, seamed stockings, red sling heels, wide-brimmed woven bonnet with netting and a cluster of dainty rosebud petals and leaves, red hat box with curlers and pearls. Excellent condition. Alexander, 1956, from the Fashion Parade series, model 2035, the doll was described as "dressed for a summer afternoon...in a beautifully styled garden party dress of sheerest organdy", her bonnet adding "a note of formality". The rare red hat box has original gilt medal Fashion Academy medallion.
