28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender elongated facial modeling of lady,brown glass "flirty" eyes in deeply set sockets,dark eyeliner,heavily modeled eyelids,painted curly lashes,slightly modeled brush-stroked brows with feathered details,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth modeled as though open in a dimpled smiling expression,row of painted teeth,well modeled unpierced ears,brunette hand-tied human hair wig with elaborately braided chignon,composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig,their 1388 model,circa 1910. Value Points: superb model with extraordinary quality of sculpting and quality of bisque. The model itself is very rare but this largest size is virtually unknown,and features distinctively sculpted dimples at lip corners,cheeks and eye corners to enhance the flirtatious yet sophisicated look,and fine original cashmere wool and velvet walking suit with curly mohair collar stole,undergarments,shoes,feathered bonnet,brown velvet purse,and mohair muff with silk bow.
