18" (46 cm.) figure. 24" overall. Arranged upon a metal post is a carved wooden figure of a man with one-piece head, torso and legs, chip-carved detail of hair and facial feature, carved detail of suit with defined vest, attached bow tie, pivot-attached whirligig extended arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, mid-1800s. Value Points: well-preserved and imaginative folk art in the classic whirligig design.
