15" (38 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and torso-to-waist, high domed forehead with center-part and lower scalloped curls framing the lower face, painted facial features, blue upper-glancing eyes, single-stroke arched brows, closed mouth with center accent line, kid lower torso, kid upper arms and legs, carved wooden lower limbs, painted blue flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Grodnertal,circa 1830. Value Points: most unusual body construction, perfectly-preserved finish and sturdy body, original costume including delightful pantaloons, woven bonnet, and having wonderfully-characterized expression.
