13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with amber-tinted complexion, small brown glass sleep eyes, delicately-painted curly upper lashes, black feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, black mohair wig, amber tinted composition baby body. Condition: generally excellent, tiniest original firing line at lower right eye rim. Marks: F made in Germany 10 243 JDK. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912, unique portrait model, under commission from Gump's, the luxury early 1900s gift shop which specialized in Chinese art works, wearing original elaborate silk costume made in that store's work shops. Value Points: rare and all-original, the costume wearing the original label of Gump's.
