14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde lambswool wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1882. Value Points: wide-eyed child with delicate pale bisque contrasted by rich brown eyes and brows, original body and body finish, wearing wonderful ivory silk quilted snow costume comprising coat, cap, leggings, and muff, over ivory silk dress.
