14" (36 cm.) All-carved wood with heart-shaped face, painted brown hair with delicate feathering above the sculpted ears, deeply-defined eye sockets with painted brown eyes, blushed cheeks; attached to shapely female torso with dowel-jointing at the throat which allows the head to pivot forward and back, sculpted and painted bodice, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and swivel-ball waist, early costume. Condition: structurally excellent, some retouch and rubs on finish. Comments: Continental, early 1800s. Value Points: rarity factors include dowel-jointing at throat, sculpted ears, sculpted bodice, very articulated body.
