Oil painting on canvas depicting a mother and child standing at the frame of a window, with bird cage and yellow bird hanging at the window frame, the mother holding the child in blue dress with ruffled blue ribbon bonnet, and the child holding a rattle. A terrier dog is leaning on a paisley shawl which is draped on the window sill. The painting is signed (name illegible) with date 1859, and the painting is early gilded wooden frame. Excellent condition. French, 1859.
