Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with very pale complexion, dark brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, early period portrait bebe. Value Points: very fine pale complexion dramatized by dark brown eyes, original body and body finish, original chemise, ivory satin dress with lace, silk ribbon and metallic bead accents.
