15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck,brown sculpted short curly hair,very plump cheeks,blue glass sleep eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,open mouth with laughing expression,double chin,impressed lip and cheek dimples,muslin torso,composition lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent,composition limbs very worn. Marks: copr. by Georgene Averill made in Germany 3552. Comments: "Bonnie Babe",circa 1925,designed by the American artist,under commission from George Borgfeldt. Value Points: very fine sculpting of the artist-designed character child,finest bisque and painting.
